LAFC (Los Angeles Football Club) is a professional soccer team based in Los Angeles, California. The team was founded in 2014 and began playing in the Major League Soccer (MLS) in 2018. LAFC plays its home games at the Banc of California Stadium in downtown Los Angeles.
New England Revolution is a professional soccer team based in Foxborough, Massachusetts. The team was founded in 1995 and has played in the MLS since its inaugural season in 1996. The Revolution plays its home games at the Gillette Stadium, which they share with the New England Patriots of the NFL.
LAFC and New England Revolution compete against each other in the MLS as part of the Western and Eastern conferences respectively. Both teams have had their fair share of success in the league over the years, with LAFC finishing as runners-up in the MLS Cup in 2019 and the Revolution making it to the MLS Cup Final in 2002, 2005, 2006, and 2014, but have never won the championship.
